Gavel and Gown Software (by email)
RE: Lori Berenson
Dear Gavel and Gown:
It is with great pride and pleasure that I am writing this
letter to you to let you know how very impressed I am with the work that Lori
Berenson has completed for my law office in regard to the link from Amicus
Attorney to QuickBooks, as well as helping me with setting up Amicus Attorney
and QuickBooks.
I have been working closely with Ms. Berenson since
approximately July of 2005 and can truly say that it has been the most enjoyable
time I have ever had learning how to merge data and addressing software conflict
issues! She is forthright, considerate and patient, and maintains a practical,
down-to-earth attitude toward the effective resolution of clients problems
which is refreshing, and extremely difficult to find. I truly treasure the
relationship she has built with myself and my staff.
I heartily recommend that she complete training manuals,
or help your office in whatever way you find appropriate. If you have any
questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at the number above.
Very cordially yours,
Bonnie P. Humphrey

We have been using Amicus for 3 years. I
have found that basic operation of the program is intuitive enough
for some people with little or no training. That is not to say
that I do not recommend training. The program is very powerful and
you will miss out on a lot if you just wing it. In fact, the
consultant that helped us set up Amicus and trained our users is
Lori Berenson of Productivity Consulting, located here in
Cleveland, Ohio. This is a bonus because most of the qualified
trainers seem to be located either in Atlanta, Florida or in the
West. Lori also is the author of the training manual that
many Amicus consultants use.
Some of the links to third party
applications like PCLaw and TimeSlips work well, but unless you
are a computer whiz, I recommend that you have the links installed
by a qualified consultant.

"I use Lori's manuals for all of my
Amicus Attorney training classes. These manuals
are well written, easy to follow and understand, and provide a wealth of information to my
students. High marks are always on the evaluation
form from my students for these manuals."

"I wanted to take a moment to thank you
and your staff for all the work you have done for my firm. I've
told you before that I couldn't run this firm without your
support, and I mean it.
The software you recommended is
proper for the application at this firm. Additionally, your
manuals have helped me to be able to use many more of the features
that I paid for. I am finding that many users are not even aware
that the "extra" features are available to them. Your
company has most definitely added value to my initial purchase.
I will continue to spread the good word
about Lori and her manuals."

"After using Timeslips and
WordPerfect for years in my law practice, I thought I was using
some reasonably efficient computer systems. Nevertheless, I knew
the way I was managing client data was not what I wanted. When
Lori & Liz upgraded Amicus Attorney and linked it to
Timeslips, I finally had the database management I had been
searching for.
What had become the drudgery of
day-to-day lawyering has given way to a much happier and more
productive practice that allows me to better serve clients and
still have time for my family and myself.
Lori's follow-up service has been
outstanding - I would urge any legal practitioner to check these
guys out!"
