Do you use Microsoft Word in your firm? If you do, this five-day course will help you to become more valuable in your office! You will get incredible tips on supporting and troubleshooting Microsoft Word - concentrating on Word's legal features.

You will receive an 800+ page workbook, and a copy of Word 2003 for Law Firms, authored by Payne Consulting. Become more knowledgeable on how to fix problems when they occur, and how to avoid common pitfalls - before they occur.

The course will be held on June 13-17, 2005, and is limited to 8 students. The cost is $1800 per person. Deadline for registration is May 26, 2005.

Archiving and De-Archiving Amicus Files and/or Contacts

Do you have a very large Amicus database - over 80 MB? Have you considered archiving files or contacts to reduce the size of your database - with the hopes of Amicus running faster?

Before you consider the pros and cons of archiving, you may want to consider enlisting the aid of an Amicus Certified Consultant to perform the Streamline Database function, or do a Backup and Restore? Both of these features will reduce the size of your Amicus database - and speed up Amicus for all users.

If these functions have already been performed, and your database is still very large, then you might want to consider archiving files and/or contacts. However, if you haven't used the archiving features before, please read my article for valuable tips, as well as step-by-step instructions. Again, you may want to have an Amicus CC help you with this - just to be sure that there are no other problems that need to be resolved.

Please read this article, and if you have any issues that need addressing, please contact me - or your local Amicus CC.
